20QTSThing Question 16

…20 Questions Til Spring Thing…

What is/was your all-time favorite ‘oldie’ tv show?  By oldie I mean before the 70’s?

I know, I know.  Some of you weren’t even around in the 70’s, so throw in your favorite re-run!

I’m from a yours, mine & ours family with 7 kiddos raised way before today’s sit-on-your-hiney electronic age, (oh forgive me, I’m forgetting the Wii—insert sarcasm).  Most of our time was spent outdoors playing with our jump-ropes, marbles and, at night, playing Ditchum.  And guess what?  We got real dirty, and when we came in after a fun-filled day, our mom didn’t slather us with anti-bacterial soap.  And guess what again?  We were hardly ever sick.  Go figure!

That being said, and now that I’m an adult, I will sit on my hiney and enjoy an episode or two of I Love Lucy!  Who can ever forget the Chocolate Factory and, my favorite, Vitameatavegimin?

Wow, that was a round-about answer!

Only four more questions!  Thanks for humoring me!

  1. Ooh...that's another tough question! I think I'd probably have to choose The Carol Burnett Show. I loved watching the antics of Tim Conway and Harvey Korman, especially. Just good, clean family entertainment.

  2. So many but if I have to say 1 it would be "Candid Camera". I find true life humor the funniest of all and I use to laugh myself silly over this show. Do you perchance remember the one where they put the "restroom" side on a closet door? The people were lined up waiting. The head of the line would open the door - go in - they would stay a few minutes - open the door and come out and NEVER say anything to the other's in line. Just walk away. Too embarrassed to admit they had stood in a dark closet!!!

Another was a painted catsoup bottle in a diner. People would shake and pound and hold it up and peer down the neck of the bottle and pound and shake some more.

I could go on and on but I won't bore you any more!!!

  3. We still watch Andy Griffith...that's our favorite! ♥

  4. Definitely the Andy Griffith Show. The lessons it teaches are still relevant...and much needed in today's world. We'd all be better off if we did a little more porch sittin'.
