20QTSThing Day 10

…20 Questions Til SpringThing…

What is one of the best bargains you’ve found at a thrift store or garage sale?

I’m going to have to say a vintage pink transistor radio I bought for 25 cents and sold on Ebay for $55.00.

Not a bad profit!

The new ‘thrifting’ season is getting closer.  I enjoy the thrill of the hunt!

Have a great weekend!

  1. Ooh...that's a tough question! I'd have to say the crib we bought at a gargage sale before our first daughter was born. I think we paid $50 for it and it was in perfect condition. Our other daughter used it, as well.

  2. Can't really remember the prices of most of what little I've bought but I have a really cute little what-not shelf with 36 little cubby holes and glass doors that I think I paid $10-$15 for that I love. It's hanging in my office and most of the cubbies are filled with a variety of things: wooden thread spools (2), small perfune bottles, a couple of little glass angels, an old medal thimble, etc. More information that you wanted to know I'm sure!!

  3. Years ago I bought a bag of blue plaid wallpaper for $2 at a garage sale. There was exactly enough to cover the kitchen we'd just remodeled and there were even exactly enough pieces already cut to the exact right size for the backsplash and soffit areas. We still laugh about the miracle of the wallpaper.

I'm interested in what you have to say. Thanks for taking the time to say it!
