20 QTSThing #11

…20 Questions Til Spring Thing…

I know this is question 11 (because I started this on Feb. 29), but there is only 10 days ‘til it is officially Spring! Hope springs eternal!

Ok, today’s question:  What is your normal morning routine?

I get myself out of bed between 8 and 8:30, except for today which for some reason I was wide awake at 6:30—very unusual for me.

I’m not one to dilly-dally before breakfast.  I like to eat  first thing.  I have Malt O Meal cereal nearly every morning with a couple of tablespoons of dark chocolate chips.  I know, I’m a strange bird.  In my defense, that’s the only chocolate I have!

I enjoy the alone time for prayer/devotions before Grace gets up, though I will have to admit that getting these questions up everyday first thing has changed my routine somewhat.

‘Ideally’ by 9:30 we’re ready to hit the books, which works most of the time!

I’m sure if you’re a coffee drinker you’ll have noticed that it wasn’t mentioned.  I don’t like coffee at all, but love the aroma when my husband is brewing his.

Happy weekend to you!

Brenda

  1. My normal morning routine...here goes: I get up at 4:55 AM to get Abby up and moving to catch her 6 AM bus. I go back to bed for an hour or so. I get up, again, read the paper with a bowl of Cheerios. Pick the house up a little and hop on the treadmill while watching Kathie Lee and Hoda on the Today Show. How's that? :)

  2. I arise very EARLY each day. Always up by 5 a.m. although my husband sleeps in much later and my day doesn't really "begin" as such until he rises. I fb (my 2 prayer blogs first), read, work puzzles, etc. until he gets up. Think I'll blog about our morning routine!!!

  3. 5:45 AM get up and walk the dog
    6:30 shower, dress etc.
    7:00 devotions
7:15 out the door, heading for work
I am not a morning person by nature so this is all tough for me :)

  4. During the week it's rise and "shine" at 4 A.M. I make the bed and then spend a bit of quiet time with the Lord. Next I shower or whatever I need to do to get me ready. By a little after 5 I'm in the kitchen for breakfast and I'm out the door for work before 6.
